De (Re) Construct

Concept Design Deploy Clothing Store
Deploy is a clothing brand specializing in designing for the woman in every day life. They design adjustable clothing that can be edited and enhanced by attaching or removing different sections or accessories for the design to turn a usual office suit into a frock for a night out. The proposal is to redesign a building on floral street to be the new flagship store for Deploy. The two story building lends itself to allowing for a multitude of different functions. The design involves opening up the store and creating an inner faceted wall which can rotate and be used to show and demonstrate footage from fashion shows, and of the latest designs.
The store has a dual function to it, which apart from being a shop includes providing a cafe and educational facility for the homeless. The cafe will allow people to gain experience in real life situations and provide with the option to teach how to cook. Any food that is left at the end of the day is prepared and offered to homeless as part of the space is transformed from the shop to a shelter for ex military who need a warm place to stay and clean as well as providing the opportunity to get some warm food which has been left from the cafe in the day. The scheme plans to incorporate the Prett homeless run, which is How Prett give food out to homeless people.
The shop itself is completely adjustable, with walls and columns being able to be edited to create a continually dynamic and changing shape and face to Deploy.
